Located in the fantastic National Palace of Montjuïc, the National Museum of Catalan Art was built for the 1929 International Exposition. It's not just a beautiful building, it houses one of the best collections of Romanesque mural painting in the world. It also has permanent exhibitions of works by great Catalan modernist artists such as Gaudí and Casas, important figures in the Renaissance and European Baroque such as Titian and Velázquez and a varied range of temporary exhibitions.
