    This preRoman church was built in 842 under Ramiro I in the Monte de Naranco.
    Its beauty and its architecture raised to the level it to Humanity World Heritage by the UNESCO in 1985. The church is situated to 200 meters of Santa Maria of Naranco.

    SANTA MARÍA DEL NARANCO

    Situated in 4 km from Oviedo, it is on the hillside of the Monte del Naranco, at only 200 meters of the church of San Miguel de Lillo. Formerly, it was about the royal amphitheater of all the Ramiro’s Palaces I. But during the 12th century, after the collapse of a part, it was transformed into church.

    Gothic cathedral was situated in the center of Oviedo, it possesses more than 13 centuries of History. This big complex member of a religious order was built by the Monarch Alfonso II, in the same place where was destroyed a building in the effigy of the Muslim army of the year 794.
    That is why the temple possesses several styles such as the PreRoman, Romain, the Baroque and the Renaissance.
