Córdoba
Córdoba is situated in a basin on the banks of the Guadalquivir and at the foot of the Sierra Morena mountains.
These days it is a major cultural attraction in southern Europe, as one of the most beautiful and best preserved cities in Spain. With one of the largest old quarters in the world, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco, the city presents various different areas which are very modern and enjoy good transport links.
Of the many cultural activities it is worth highlighting the most important and symbolic building in the city, the Córdoba Mosque and current cathedral which, along with the magnificent Roman Bridge, forms the city's most famous feature.
It has a continentalised Mediterranean climate with Atlantic influences.
